Gaming is a toxic addiction
Sam's real life is a incredibile mess. Skipping school, no personal contacts, losing contact to his parents, and gaming gaming gaming – just a normal day in Sam's life. His notes and marks are terrible and if he keeps living this way he will mess up everything.
His teachers have tried everything, but it didn't work and so they arrange a meeting between the family and the director. '' I don't know what to do anymore, Mr Fishensen'', explains his mother with tears in her eyes. ''Well Mrs Mumberfish, we even don't know what to do'', says the director.
Mr Fishensen shows a statistic and explains, that Sam isn't the only victim of the dangerous addiction. Over forty percent of german teenagers play computer games over six hours per day. So we ask a professor addiction about this probably theme. '' There are many reasons, why teenagers back down.
The highest problem is, that they make bad experience with friends or love and so they try to find a way out and don't handle with their problems.'', says the addiction professor Mark Even Longer. Moreover he says that the percentage is unbeliveable. So we ask what can we do to help these victims, is there actually any help? '' Well, if you're addicted once, it is very hard to stop it.
The victims need the help of their friends, family and schools. They schould make clear what they do with thier lofe and show them other possibilities, like doing sport or find new friends'' explains Mr Mark Even Longer. Back to Sam. Sam is since seven years addicted and can't stop.
Because of that we ended our interview with him. So what shell we do? Another professor told us, that you can only hope, that it will end from alone, because punishment doesn't work, like ban computer gaming. They must only go to a friend or to a internet cafe and play there the game.
Furthermore baning destroy their feeling more and it can happen that they trie to kill themself or attack anyone. Many proffessor say, that they are unreckonable.
We have compared our statistic with a statistic from USA. We found out that the Americans have a higher problem like we have.
More than seventy percent are addicted and even twenty procent can be violent. The problem is, that it give to much online or offline games for teenager and so they want to try any game. So guys let hope,that this find an end and that they will ever come to their life again.
The only thing we can do, is hope for a way.
