So kann der Le­ser schon am An­fang ver­mu­ten, dass die Fi­gu­ren strei­ten wer­den. Aber die­ses Zi­tat klingt nicht rea­lis­tisch und ver­wirrt den Le­ser. Es han­delt sich um ei­nen neun­jäh­ri­gen Jun­gen. Sein Bru­der ist ums Le­ben ge­kom­men und im Kel­ler ge­blie­ben. Der Jun­ge hat vom Leh­rer ge­hört, dass die Rat­ten ver­stor­be­ne Leu­te fres­sen. Er hat ei­ne fi­xe Idee, auf den zer­stör­ten Kel­ler auf­zu­pas­sen.
